MTS India Section in association with Bay of Bengal Programme - Inter-governmental Organisation (BoBP-IGO) is organising the 2nd Techsurge 2018 in the theme of Technologies and Innovation for Sustainable Fishing (TISF), at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Chennai, India on 10 August 2018. This event will be a prelude to the proposed mega event Oceans 2022 , Chennai to be organised by MTS and IEEE.

Techsurge is a common platform for stakeholders to share their views on field level challenges. There was a great success in the 1st Techsurge held during June 2016 and attracted 150 delegates from different institutions such as defence, research, academia, Industries and start-up companies including 26 students from 10 colleges participated. The theme of 2nd Techsurge 2018 workshop is to discuss on the present and the futuristic technology for Safety, Security, Navigation and Technology for sustainable fishing. Plenary and Keynote lectures will be by eminent national and international experts. We have also announced Student poster competition.
